The Residential Centre
Forsports Foundation runs a residential facility for underprivileged and street children in Sunyani. The residential facility is very important in the running of the project because it has had a positive influence on the project because after training, the most vulnerable children are kept at the facility which helps in keeping an eye on them, thereby discouraging them from going out to indulged themselves in their previous lifestyles of alcohol and drug abuse etc.
Through the residential facility we have been able to educate and provide meaningful life to some of the children example, Afriyie Acquah who plays his professional football with Italian Club, Torino F.C and a regular with the Ghana National Team, The Black Stars. Also Stephen Amissah, who plays for local Ghana Premiership Club, Inter Allies F.C, Captain Kwaku Yeboah, plays for Division One Club, Techiman City F.C and a lot more in various Division Two Clubs in Ghana and those who are in Tertiary institutions pursing further studies as well as those gainfully employed in their chosen vocations.
Our project has affected over 10,000 children within Sunyani and its environs and we continue to attract more children into the project through our outreach programmes.
NOTE: The Forsports Foundation Residential Academy is currently suspended due to lack of funding. We still see the impact of the residential facility and we encourage companies, organisations and individuals wanting to revive and support the residential project to contact us at info@forsportsfoundation.org.
