Forsports Foundation, a Football for Good NGO based in Sunyani, the Bono Regional Capital which uses football for social development and community cohesion and also helps in the delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals has appointed US-based Liverpool F.C lifelong fan Mr John Harrison as a Trustee to help in steering the affairs of the foundation for its international reach.
Mr Harrison has over 20 years of experience in the Construction, Sports, Entertainment and Consultancy Industries. John has also been involved in football at the highest level in the USA since 2013. He was the team liaison for the Greek National Team on their road to Brazil in 2014 and worked with Argentina, AC Milan, Chelsea, Roma and most recently Inter Milan. John has top-level knowledge, experience, logistics and communication skills and these are the qualities that he brings to our table and our organisation and he is very passionate about this.
Football has always been his passion; Football has been his brother ever since he was able to kick a ball when he was a child (thanks to his father who himself was a top striker for the Royal Navy) and when the opportunity was given to him to support the use of football for good, John didn’t hesitate to accept this offer to support the work of our foundation.
In his acceptance letter, he wrote I unequivocally state my desire to accept the offer of being appointed a Trustee of your organisation, the Forsports Foundation. My acceptance to be part of this foundation is not limited to the trust reposed in me but extends my utmost and an unflinching quest to help develop the younger generation for a better tomorrow.
I, therefore, promise to do everything humanly possible and within my capabilities to help the foundation realize its aim to justify the trust and confidence reposed in me. I am looking forward to enjoying a very conducive and harmonious working relationship with you and the entire Forsports Foundation fraternity.
